Not so healthy me.
I have done a horrible job during this pandemic to eat healthy, watch my portion control and stay active. I wish I could be like those women on TV who wake up and race to their exercise equipment in the morning, but let's be realistic here....I make myself get out of bed just for that first cup of coffee (with lots of yummy creamer.) The last time I weighed myself was Aug 11th 2020 and I was 150. Thats higher then I typically am but I wasn't concerned then. I am usually around 135 or so. This is why my clothes were concerned as things no longer fit at this point.
Fast forward to Christmas at my parents house. My Mom sent me a picture of me and my family in front of their tree. Needless to say it isn't a very flattering picture of me. I knew I had to start doing something or it wasn't going to be good for me. So I stepped on the scale this morning and weighed 165. Now my casual New Year goal to eat healthy has become a holly molly girl you need to get your a$$ in gear here. So I am very motivated to do this now as this has gotten out of hand.
I am that person who jumps on the healthy kick for a month or so then falls off. I pray that doesn't happen this time. To help me stay really motivated to start I booked a trip to the beach with two other couples for the hubby and I. The image of me in a swimsuit at 165 is a great motivation!
I spent yesterday evening preparing several healthy snacks for our family and made a delicious healthy supper. I will post some recipies next for anyone who would like them.
Wish me luck and an extra prayer for strength to get myself and my family eating healthy moving forward.
Please no making fun of my picture...my Mom managed to get all my chins in the picture. Lol
