4th of July 2020

Well our 4th of July started out just like the rest of this year. We had a bit of a trailer issue on the way to the lake. Good thing we had stopped in the Walmart parking lot for ice and snacks otherwise it probably would have fallen off on the road someplace.
After four hours in the parking lot, several trips to buy tools/supplies to fix it enough to go to a near by lake on three wheels we were off. I have to say that the kids and Siennas friends who were with took the delay pretty good. They got to people watch (wave at cute boys) in the boat while eating our snacks.

Ryan found out you can pay for air for your tires only to find that it doesn't work. To make matters worse the attendant at the Walmart pumps where the air was wasnt too helpful. When Ryan went to let them know the air machine was broken she asked him how his day was going. Ryan covered in dirt and grease said could be better. Then the lady said yeah I bet I have been watching you try to fix that thing for the past few hours. Ryan said she even laughed abit about it... he wasn't impressed.

But once we found air.....at the third gas station we stopped at we slowly drove it to the nearest boat launch and put the boat in the water for some fun.

Its amazing how certain things or activities can calm you down and remove stress. We got this new to us boa this summer and everytime I am in it I am entered into a zen mood. I love it and wish it was warm sll year round to use it.

The kids also were lifted to a happy place. They spent the rest of the day swimming and tubing. Seeing them have this much fun is priceless. Glad they can see the positivein these types of situations as they all said they had a fun day.

I am also thankful to great friends who let us oark our boat and trailer at their place waiting to get fixed.
