Be the change you want to see in this world.

Change comes from within each of us. To all of my friends and family please look inside yourself and be the change you want to see in the world. My Facebook page is mine with my opinions and not to push my ideas on anyone or make anyone change their opinions. I have always been a helper and one who sticks up for others no matter what. It could be a stanger, someone I may not particularly like or agree with their opinions but I still respect them and if they need help or someone to back them up I am there for them. I have put together several images with thoughts, quotes and cuteness that I have saved over the past few weeks that we have talked about in our family. I strive everyday to see the best in people and look for the positive in every situation. I believe the media has a lot to blame with a lot of our current events and I am trying to figure out a way I can look to any source of news these days and simply find the facts or details that are known about the situation not a reporters personal perspective. My kids ask a lot of questions about the news and its a lot of pulling facts from opinion.  We have tried not watching the news and just talking with others in person about topics and ideas and learn what they have to say and their opinions. It is much easier to talk with others in person about things than here on social media. This makes me think we need to get back a common tradition we had while growing up. Dad would take us to the local cafe for coffee and snack. There he would talk with friends and neighbors about life, politics and work. I learned a lot about how to have open conversations about different perspectives and views and not judge others, not get upset over what someone said, not trying to change other peoples minds and just respecting others no matter what. In our house we are working hard to have open conversations about the recent topics with our children so they can grow up to look at life with open eyes, listen to different perspectives of others and be a good helpers to others. I have seen great things out of my kids and am so proud of them. Please know that our house is always open to anyone to come have a cup of coffee and chat with us.
