17th Anniversary date....about a month late due to winter.

We had an amazing date night for our 17th wedding anniversary. What made it so special to me was that my hubby agreed to do a painting class with me. He never does things like this with me. Well part of it is I usually do my own painting at home. But we have been looking for alternative date ideas. This painting class was the first one I signed us up for. But unfortunately there was a blizzard the night it was supposed to be. That pushed the class out about a month. Ryan had a blast at the pottery class but was now second guessing this class idea.

He told me on the way there he would paint a banana taped to the wall as that is supposedly art now days. He really isnt too into the different types of art out there. But that's okay as he supports me in my art and wishes I would do more of it. It is hard to take the time to do art as I get lost in my projects and could paint all day long. It's trying to balance your needs and the needs of your kids, family, friends and work in one. I am very fortunate that my kids love yo be creative so I can do project with them

 It's even a bigger bonus when the hubby will be creative with me. ❤ That is a true blessing and act of love from him. 

We both had fun in the class and I think he will possibly paint with me one day at home now. He was pleasantly surprised how well his picture turned out. I knew he would do great on his painting as he has a great artistic side to him.  

Taking painting classes makes me miss painting and think about why I am not teaching others about art. This has been a passion of fime for years.  One day I will hold art classes for others. Not just my kids. But that is sometime in the future.
