Tilapia Dinner

Image
This is one of my favorite staple meals while eating healthy and cutting weight.  Tilapia filet  Asparagus  Brown rice Olive oil French fry seasoning Put fish and asparagus on a sheet pan drizzle with olive oil and seasoning. Bake for 12 - 15 minutes at 425 degrees until fish is done. Cooke rice according to package.

Extra motivation for me.

I have done this before.....I can do this.....Stay strong and ride the waves that are about to start crashing.  Starting weight: May 10th 2019 150 lbs Ending weight: Sept 16th 2019 135.2 lbs  Pictures were taken: May 11th 2019 Sept 8th 2019 Loss of: 14.8 lbs.

Not so healthy me.

I have done a horrible job during this pandemic to eat healthy, watch my portion control and stay active. I wish I could be like those women on TV who wake up and race to their exercise equipment in the morning, but let's be realistic here....I make myself get out of bed just for that first cup of coffee (with lots of yummy creamer.) The last time I weighed myself was Aug 11th 2020 and I was 150. Thats higher then I typically am but I wasn't concerned then. I am usually around 135 or so.  This is why my clothes were concerned as things no longer fit at this point.  Fast forward to Christmas at my parents house. My Mom sent me a picture of me and my family in front of their tree. Needless to say it isn't a very flattering picture of me. I knew I had to start doing something or it wasn't going to be good for me. So I stepped on the scale this morning and weighed 165. Now my casual New Year goal to eat healthy has become a holly molly girl you need to get your a$$ in gear ...

Balancing Faith Family & Work in 2021

Image
Its a new year and after this last year things are different. We went through a lot last year and things are not looking like they are going to change soon for 2021. I am taking the things I learned over this past year and it is looking like 2021 is going to be a great year filled with hope, love and most importantly FAITH. 2020 helped us put everything in perspective and showed us our true meaning in life. Take care of yourself, your family, friends, neighbors and strangers. Show kindness, compassion, forgiveness, love and share faith to everyone you see this year. Dont be quick to judge and look at things with an open heart, mind and eyes. Always search for the truth and look for the good in the world.  My goals this year are to take care of my body, mind and soul so I will be working on multiple little things in my life. There will be good days and days where I fail and will not have enough energy to work on these things. But that is okay, I will take this day by day...
