Uncertainty is everywhere

Jaxons 1st 3-on-3 for 2020 2nd Place!

Image
Jaxon loves his basketball. He was super excited to be asked to be on a 3-on-3 team with some friends. These boys really play well together without hardly any practices. They were running plays and had great spacing on the court. The best moment of the day was Jaxon hitting a last second shot to win over a team who has played over 20 3-on-3 tournaments together this year. All of the boys on his team have huge hearts for the fane and great sportsmanship.

Mommy daughter night.

Brynn and I got to have a datenight last night while Ryan, Sienna & Jaxon went to a Timberwolves game. Her plan was to go to the mall to shop and out to eat. She had a lot of fun at the mall getting spoiled and finding special things to get.  I then surprised her while shopping to tell her we could buy some new paints and paint when we got home! She was really excited for that!  She picked her favorite place to eat - Boulder Tap House. Great pick as we hot to wach the game her brother and sister were at.  The Timberwolves ended up losing but the kids had a blast!

Brynns acrylic paintings to finish out our mommy daughter day.

She helped get the eisels put together and then put plastic down. Have to have a clean area to paint on.  At first her idea was to have us draw each other but that quickly changed once we both sat down. Then she started painting a tree. She worked a bit on this piece but then took a look at what I was painting and wanted to start a different picture with some new ideas. But first a handprint!  Brynn started with the background and took her time together great depth with layering the colors.  Then she painted the tree and leaves.  After that was done she painted the sky black with her fingers. Then added her moon back in. She tried to get a reflection of the moon down to the ground as well.  Here are both her paintings. She wanted to add stars to the second painting but decided her playdate with a friend was more important! 🙂

Watercolor - its it's been a while.

Brynn and I used water color last night. It was her first time and she was not happy with her picture. I thought how her colors mixed together was beautiful and her idea to put tape over part of it to have clean white spots to make a special picture forme was adorable. She tried really hard but was frustrated as she couldn't get the paint to do what it was on my paper. I explained to her that water color takes patients and time to learn. We will be doing more today with her new paints. She can't wait to use the new acrylic paint we bought.

Pinch the ends of the bake together so filling stays inside when baking.  Step 5:  Put in preheated oven and cook for 15 minutes. Let cool, the cut and serve.  ...

Pork Chops and rice....attempted with what I had in my pantry.

Image
Craving: I was craving pork chops, wild rice and gravy tonight, but I didnt have all the ingredients in my pantry so I improvised.  Results: The pork chops turned out good, but a little dry. The rice ended up being salty and was dry as well. But it ended up fulfilling my craving.  Ingredients : Pork Chops  Salt  Pepper  Wild rice instant powder soup mix Water Potatoes Rosemary Olive oil Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°. Grease a 9x13 cake pan Step 2: Salt & pepper both sides of the pork chops. Heat skillet on medium high heat with olive oil and sear each side of the pork chops. Pour soup mix into pan with 2 cups water. Stir. Once pork chops are seared on both sides put them in the pan.  Cover pan with tin foil and place in oven for 2 hours. Step 3:  With 45 minutes left on the pork chops make the potatoes. Slice the potatoes into small pieces.  Chop up the fresh rosemary leaves.
